Job Vacancy – Die Cutter Operative

Job Type: Permanent – Full Time
Standard Hours: 40 per week
Shift Pattern: Rotating on a weekly basis; 6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm
Working Days: Monday – Friday
Start Date June 2017

Role Responsibilities:
• Clean the die cutting machine
• Make minor repairs to the die cutting machine
• Prepare and repair the make ready sheets
• Ensure that the work being cut is done in a timely manner
• Rotate the blanks in the storage area in date order
• Colour matching printed work
• Check printed work for correct template usage, correct ‘p’ number usage or template errors
• Record daily die cutter data and to keep all paperwork neat, tidy, and organised
• Ensure that all machines and areas have their housekeeping records up to date, and accurately filled in
• Liaise with the Print Team to ensure that urgent work required is printed
• Monitor the already cut work to ensure a specific machine doesn’t stop
• Check, read and respond to all relevant emails in a timely manner

• Assist development of die cutter related procedures to ensure compliance with BRC recommendations
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Health and Safety and Hygiene standards
• Ensure the cleanliness of the production area and any other departmental area you are working in and keep housekeeping records updated in real time
• Use the correct Personal Protective Equipment as provided

Person Specification
• Essential – ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload
• Essential – good timekeeping
• Essential – a team player
• Desired – experience operating a Die Cutter machine/similar paper-based machine operation
• Desired – Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate
